Dear Kate,
I've only known you & Dan as fellow believers & friends with a gracious dedication to truth. I've been so appreciative that I could call you for encouragement & solid Biblical reasoning,
knowing that you both love Jesus so deeply. So to talk about Dan, is to talk about you as well, Kate. The wonderful alliance you shared came through so clearly to me. Thank you. I know you will continue to feel Dan's strength. Oh, that every one of us could come to such a sweet dedication in Christ. Much love in Him...

I just heard about Dan's death and I am so saddened. I did many radio interviews and articles about Dan over the years and he was a true hero, not the kind made up by Hollywood's Vietnam. Over the years we became good friends and this week I wanted to have him on my radio show on www.oriontalktadio.com. That is how I found out about his passing.I am planning a tribute to him on my show at 9pm to 11pm pacific time. If anyone would like to come on the air and say a few words, contact me at gregbeacon@gmail.com. I once told Dan I would never forget him and would always try to keep his story fresh in the minds of Americans, especially so the young soldiers understand the truth about war. Dan was loved by many, including me. He will be sorely missed.

So sorry to hear of Dan's passing! Thank you, Dan, for telling the truth despite threats and hardships. As an ex-marine, I'm proud of you for all you did for us. My spirit witnesses with yours and I'm happy that your daughter led you to the Lord. May God richly bless the family of this great American hero!!!

To all family and friends Col. Marvin, please accept my lamentations for your loss; however, rejoice about two facts: one, he is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; two, you too shall united with him and Jesus.

In the many years I have known Dan, he has been an inspiration to me. From meeting him for the first time to covering his trial in South Carolina to seeing him and Kate in their home just a few months ago, I have been honored to have such a friend as Dan. His Christian stand is a light that could not be put out. God bless his family and all my support to them.

I will never forget what Lt. Col. Marvin had to say and the risks he took to say it. Never. My thoughts are with the family.

My heartfelt compassion to his family. Please rest in the knowledge that he indeed is with Jesus Christ this very moment. His testimony to find Christ is noteworthy and I hope that the people whom read about his accomplishments also learn from what changed him forever. Second I appreciate and value his service integrity and honesty to working for the people of the United States.
Lastly indeed I remember him speaking of the warning to his peers and future generations of people in that profession about what they would be getting into should they "volunteer" for these missions.
I can also laugh and also understand the concept of being expendable and yes his candid stories on video brought many reminders to me of how it all works.
Thank You Sir and Look forward to meeting you in person in eternity.
Respectfully Yours in Christ Tsgt Retired Donald W Purciful.

I had the priviledge of meeting Col. Marvin on a complaint about five or six years ago. I had no idea who he was or that he lived only a few miles away from me. He was kind enough to talk with me at length and gave me a signed copy of his book.
My children had the honor of meeting him outside of the hardware store in Caz a couple of summers ago. What a great man he was...
I was sending a link of his site to a friend of mine who is a Viet Nam veteran when I read here that Dan had passed away a week ago. What a shock! Dan made no bones about his salvation and I'm sure to see him in Heaven one day.
God-speed, Dangerous Dan. Thank you for your service and for keeping your honor.

Dear Dangerous Dan,
We will miss you and pray for your family to be comforted by our Savior. What a glorious day when you entered His presence and left all the troubles on earth behind.
It was an honor to know you and watch you run the race with endurance. Thank you for all the kind words of encouragement.
Airborne! Pam & Jimmy
This Scripture reminds me of you...
Psalm 31:13For I have heard the slander of many; terror is on every side! While they schemed together against me, they plotted to take my life.
14But I trusted in, relied on, and was confident in You, O Lord; I said, You are my God.
15My times are in Your hands; deliver me from the hands of my foes and those who pursue me and persecute me.
16Let Your face shine on Your servant; save me for Your mercy's sake and in Your loving-kindness.
17Let me not be put to shame, O Lord, or disappointed, for I am calling upon You; let the wicked be put to shame, let them be silent in Sheol (the place of the dead).
18Let the lying lips be silenced, which speak insolently against the [consistently] righteous with pride and contempt.
19Oh, how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear, revere, and worship You, goodness which You have wrought for those who trust and take refuge in You before the sons of men!
20In the secret place of Your presence You hide them from the plots of men; You keep them secretly in Your pavilion from the strife of tongues.
21Blessed be the Lord! For He has shown me His marvelous loving favor when I was beset as in a besieged city.
22As for me, I said in my haste and alarm, I am cut off from before Your eyes. But You heard the voice of my supplications when I cried to You for aid.
23O love the Lord, all you His saints! The Lord preserves the faithful, and plentifully pays back him who deals haughtily.
24Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for and hope for and expect the Lord!

I have added Expendable Elite to my must-have list. I have heard nothing but the best from those I admire of the courage of Dan Marvin. His example will inspire its replication a thousandfold.
